The UPSC CMS Eligibility is defined in terms of the applicant's age, qualifications, nationality, etc. The details of the same have been discussed in this section.
As per the UPSC CMS Eligibility, the age of the candidates must not exceed 32 years.
The age relaxation is allowed for candidates belonging to reserved categories. Details of the same are listed below.

The nationality is the first aspect seen by the higher authorities and will proceed with the candidate for the further rounds.
The candidate must be
An Indian citizen or
i)A Subject from Nepal or
ii)A Subject From Bhutan or
iii) A Tibetian who came over India before 1st January 1962 who intended to settle in India Permanently.
iv)The candidates who are migrated from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia Ethiopia, Vietnam, Burma with the intention of settling in India permanently.
For the candidates, i, ii, iii, iv; an eligibility certificate which had been issued by the government.
